Specialists about MOOV Education

Harry Valkenier

A year-three teacher in De Dolfijn Primary School in Haarlem and the founder of the Ontdekplek, also in Haarlem:.

"As a teacher and as part of Ontdekplek I am always looking for new teaching material in the area of techniques. What I noticed in the classroom is that children do like to work with Meccano types of material, but that the small size of the material is problematic. This is besides the problem of disassembling and keeping the range complete. MOOV solves both problems. It's nice and sturdy and certainly applicable without having to search for parts or tools. Disassembling is also fast. Its possible to make a new model in no time and the model usually steals the show in the schoolyard. And with the assignment cards that are provided, the pupils are also busy with physics, in addition to comprehending what they read, measure and calculate. The only disadvantage is they dont want to go home!"

Laurens de Rond

Child therapists 'Caesar', located in Doetinchem:

"Moving is essential for the development of a child! MOOV is a fun and challenging toy that we use in our clinic because it stimulates specific motor development in children. Assembling these models demands quite a bit of fine motor skills, spatial and technical understanding, eye and hand coordination, and of course creativity. The nice thing about MOOV is that after you've constructed the model, you can play with it. Using one type of model stimulates your sense of balance while another type of model stimulates gross motor skills! By now MOOV is used regularly in our clinic and we are very pleased with it."
